PURPOSED BY DESIGN

I discovered recently that the beauty of human existence is perfectly expressed when it is lived in accordance with the purpose it is designed for. In other words, you only achieve success and self fulfillment through self discovery! Better still, you set in motion the process of successful living when you know who you really are, what you are born to do, and how well to do it.

Self discovery, however, is perhaps the vaguest phenomenon that has eluded the young adult for so long that only few ever attempt to unravel its mystery. The reason? The youth is so pre-occupied with making a living that he or she never really makes a life out of such living. The Question: Have you ever asked yourself what purpose you have been designed for?



Let me share with you the THREE most important REASONS why you exist:

1. BORN TO LIVE

You are not accident. God conceived you in His mind long before your parents conceived you. According to Rick Warren, “ God prescribed every single detail of your body. He deliberately chose your race, the colour of your skin, your hair and every other feature. He also determined the natural talents you would posses and the uniqueness of your personality.”

Amazingly, God not only made you for a reason, He also determined WHEN, HOW and WHERE you would be born and how long you would live. God designed every cell, tissue, organ and system in your body to work in perfect unison, to adapt and live on the face of the earth, throughout the length of days assigned to you by God.

2. MADE TO WORSHIP

Every single detail of your body system bespeak the handicraft of God, The Master designer and Grand creator. Either you like it or not, everything about you
shouts the GLORY and WONDER of God as made manifest in creation. God created you in His EXPRESS IMAGE and LIKENESS, a favourable disposition denied even to angels and other heavenly hosts but made available only to humans.

God made you exclusively for Himself, to give Him glory and to worship Him with your whole life (thoughts, words and actions). King David, under great inspiration, marveled at the wonders of the human physiology, anatomy and potential that he shouted in awe, “ I will praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are your works and that my soul knows very well” (Psalms 139.14 NKJ).

The twenty four heavenly elders also worshiped God saying, “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things and for thy pleasure they are and were created’ (Revelation 4.11 KJV).

You see, you are not an accident of nature, but a preplanned, manufactured product, and a bundle of potential, made to praise and worship God. WHAO!

3. CALLED TO SERVE

Have you ever wondered why you possess such unique qualities, character, gifts and talents that distinguish you from others? God intended for you to use those gifts as assets in a useful investment venture to bless Him, yourself and others. You are packed with potential called your SHAPE ie. A combination of your spiritual gifts, heart or passion, abilities, personality and experiences.

Your shape is custom made in such a way as to help you function well in that environment you find yourself, maximizing your personal effectiveness and quality, impacting your world and becoming a person of influence.

In other words, you are the ‘salt’ and ‘light of the world, called to add taste and flavour where there is bitterness, and to shine where there is darkness. Your life is a solution to a problem which only you can effectively solve, and a gap which only you can adequately fill.

According to Apostle Paul, “ God has made us… a life of good deeds, which He has already prepared for us to do” (Ephesians 2:10 GNB)

THE REAL YOU

The beauty and effectiveness of your existence will find its basis on you discovering who you are (your identity), what you are assigned to do (your purpose) and how well to do it (your mission).

The real you is purposed by design. That is, God designed you for the purpose of living a life of fruitful service to God, yourself and humanity. You are meant to LIVE, LEARN, LOVE and LEAD with purpose and according to God’s instruction as laid down in the divine manual; the Holy Bible.

And the only way you can be what God intended and designed you to be is to FIND, FOLLOW and FULFILL your God given destiny.

Remember, He said, “I CHOSE you before I gave you life, and before you were born I SELECTED you to be a prophet to the nations (Jeremiah 1-5 GNB).

I believe HE is talking to you.

YOU WERE BORN TO BE USEFUL, DON'T DIE USELESS.

You will SUCCEED!
